Case Study/July 30 2026
The Company
Cindie is an on-demand streaming service and television brand dedicated exclusively to independent films, TV series and documentaries. Operated by DMD Limited, it is available directly or as a premium channel add-on across multiple markets, including Latin America.
Cindie partnered with Looper Insights to see how its service was positioned and discovered across major distribution partners, and to drive acquisition, engagement and revenue through data-led merchandising and placement optimisation.
Challenge
In a crowded Latin American market, Cindie needed to scale visibility, engagement and revenue across a fragmented partner ecosystem spanning Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
Each environment demanded something different: on the global streaming platform the priority is customer acquisition, while in bundled cable environments it shifts to engagement and viewership growth.

Crucially, Cindie had not yet invested in paid media, so growth had to come from earned media and partner collaboration alone.
Solution
Looper Insights gave Cindie a single, data-driven view of its partner performance: visibility and placement across both partners, organic (earned) impressions inside partner UIs, and the customer journey from discovery to engagement.
With featured rows, banners and carousels measured individually, Cindie could benchmark Argentina, Brazil and Mexico and see exactly what was working.
That evidence made the team proactive: it began optimising earned media performance around high-impact placements, influencing partner merchandising and building a robust data foundation for reporting.
Two changes proved especially powerful: a refresh of banner placements and a change to the call-to-action, both made and measured with confidence.
Result
Earned media optimisation drove measurable growth with no paid spend behind it.
48 to 57%
Organic app discovery rose 48% quarter-on-quarter after the first banner optimisation, then climbed to 57% above baseline following the call-to-action change. All earned, no paid media.
269%
Net revenue on the major global streaming platform grew 269% year-on-year, up 405% in the most recent comparable month.
194%
On a major Latin American cable partner, peak monthly viewing hours rose 194% year-on-year, tracking ahead of the partner's annual target.
In the 85 days after a single Looper-informed banner optimisation, free trials surged 405%, then doubled again after the call-to-action change.
On the cable partner, one promoted Cindie series accounted for nearly 40% of a peak month's viewing, and another title ranked second most-watched across the entire platform.

Looper Insights has become a critical part of how we manage and grow our business across Latin America. The platform gives us a clear understanding of how we perform across partners and, more importantly, how to improve that performance. By focusing on earned media and optimising our visibility within partner platforms, we've been able to drive significant growth without relying on paid campaigns. Looper has also strengthened how we work with our partners and how we communicate results internally. It's an essential tool for our continued expansion.
Conclusion
Cindie has demonstrated that meaningful growth can be achieved through earned media optimisation alone.
With clear visibility across Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, Cindie can maximise the impact of organic placements, influence partner UI strategy with confidence and strengthen every partner relationship with evidence.
That data-led foundation positions the business to scale efficiently and maximise ROI as it explores future paid investment.
